The Atlantic high pressure system should remain dominant over the course of the next three days. A persistent tight pressure gradient would be manifested by a continuation in breezy conditions. Fair to occasionally cloudy skies will be accompanied by brief isolated sporadic showers, while moderate to occasionally strong (25-40km/h) east north easterly to easterly trades will move across the islands within the forecast period.
Seas are moderate to rough in open waters, with swells peaking around 1.5m on the western coasts, and ranging between 2.0- 2.6m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should be prepared for above normal sea swells and gusty winds and should continue to exercise extreme caution over the next few days. A deterioration on the eastern coasts is anticipated by late Saturday with a possible peak near 3.0m in open waters. In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within the next 72 hours.
