The film of Saharan dust haze lingering across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), is expected to clear-out by Friday. Meanwhile, unstable conditions increase the chance for shower activity across our islands tonight and during Thursday. Over the next few days, mid-upper level features could maintain cloudy skies, with periods of light rain and pockets of moderate/heavy showers across parts of SVGResidents and motorists should exercise caution on rain-soaked ash and be alert near rivers and streams.

Gentle to moderate (15 – 25 km/h) east north-easterly trades could turn easterly by early Thursday, gradually decreasing to light (near 10km/h) breeze from the east south-east during the afternoon and becoming occasionally calm by night-fall. Wind direction could turn north-easterly during Saturday,

becoming gentle to moderate by evening.

East north-easterly swells with slight to moderate sea-conditions are across our islands; gradually falling and ranging 0.5 m to 1.0 m on western coasts and near 1.5 m on eastern coasts. Swell heights could fall to near 0.5 m on western coasts and  near 1.2 m on eastern coasts by Thursday evening. Late Friday and into the weekend, sea-conditions may appear smooth (less than 0.5 m) at times, especially on western coasts.
