Across the Atlantic Ocean, north-east trades continue to pump brisk winds across the island chain. Overnight and into Friday, showers associated with the low to mid level shear-line lingering across our islands will result in occasionally cloudy skies and scattered showers.
Saturday, instability increases across the Grenadines as a low level trough approaches the region. Instability expected to move northwards to include all of SVG on Sunday.
Fresh (29-38km/h) north-easterly trades prevail, with occasional strong (39-49km/h) gusts. However, they should subside as trough on the south-western side of the Atlantic High Pressure System crosses on Sunday into Monday.
Moderate to rough 6.5-10ft (2.0-3.0m) sea swells on east coasts are expected to decrease tonight, with sea swells on the east and north-east coasts becoming less than 2.5m (8 ft) by late Friday. The Small-craft Warning may be downgraded tomorrow, but small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution due to fresh brisk winds and the above normal seas.
Reduction in horizontal visibility due to dust concentrations can be expected by Saturday.
