The Atlantic High Pressure System is the dominant feature and cloud patches moving along with the wind-flow could occasionally converge across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) with scattered showers. Slight hazy conditions across our area are due to patches of Saharan dust with varying intensity. The next tropical wave could be approaching the islands Tuesday, bringing increased cloudiness, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms towards the afternoon. Dust concentrations are likely to thicken late Tuesday, creating moderate haze across SVG.
Gentle to moderate (15 – 25 km/h) east north-easterly trades could occasionally increase (near 35 km/h) across our islands. By Sunday afternoon, wind speeds could reduce to light (near 10 km/h) breeze with an east south-easterly turn in direction during the night. Fresh east north-easterly trades could return Monday night.
East north-easterly swells range between 0.5 m to 1.2 m on western coasts with slight sea-conditions and up to 1.8 m on eastern coasts of SVG, with moderate sea-conditions. Swell heights are expected to fall (near 0.5 on western and 1.2 m on eastern coasts) between Sunday night and Monday evening.
