A ridge pattern should rebuild across the islands into Tuesday allowing for fair conditions and isolated shower activity. However, by nightfall, a tropical wave approaches the islands and this is expected to trigger some pockets of light to moderate showers during Wednesday. On Thursday, lingering instability behind the wave may allow for additional showers.
Gentle(< 20km/h) east south easterly trades would cross the islands, increasing(20-30km/h) on Tuesday and Wednesday and becoming generally easterly. Seas are expected to remain slight to moderate in open water within the next 72 hours, with swells peaking up to 1.0m on western coasts and near 2.0m on eastern coasts. In addition, Saharan dust concentrations would continue to thin out across our islands but could increase from late Tuesday ahead of the tropical wave.
