As the axis of a trough system approaches the islands, Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional scattered showers can be expected tonight.

A low over the Tropical Atlantic extends a short wave trough west just east of the Lesser Antilles, the trough is expected to amplify across the Windward Islands on Wednesday. Models indicate an increase in shower activity by afternoon lingering into Thursday  with occasional cloudiness and scattered showers.

The presence of the Atlantic High Pressure could cause some moisture convergence on the southern periphery across our area on Friday allowing few scattered showers.

Moderate breeze overnight can be expected as the trough axis passes, with possible increase on Wednesday to fresh breeze behind the axis. On Thursday morning, occasional gusty strong winds are possible with generally fresh breeze prevailing.

A slight haze patch across our area can be expected overnight, otherwise no significant dust concentrations.

After a reduction in sea swell heights, swells are expected to increase slightly again on Wednesday… Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
