A weak high pressure system remained the dominant feature over our area during the last few days and resulted in generally fair conditions. However, patches of low level clouds moving along an easterly wind flow produced brief showers on occasions at some places on mainland St.Vincent.
By late Tuesday, an increase in low to mid-level moisture is predicted to move over the southern portion of the region resulting in occasional light to moderate showers under cloudy skies. Due to a further increase in moisture level as the weekend approaches, rainfall activity across SVG is expected to increase in frequency and intensity.
Easterly to North-easterly winds ranging between 10 km/h to 25 km/h (6 to 16 mph) are expected during the next 72 hours.
Slight to moderate easterly sea swells peaking to near 1.5 meters (5.0 feet) will continue during this forecast period.
No significant Saharan dust haze is expected in the upcoming days.
