A strong Western Atlantic high pressure system will remain dominant over the next few days, resulting in very breezy and occasionally windy conditions (30km/h-45km/h). Occasional brief shower activity may be experienced as low level cloud patches quickly move across our area under the influence of strong trade winds. Late Monday into Tuesday, approaching instability in the lower atmosphere could trigger a few showers across our islands.
Due to the current strong wind speeds, seas will remain agitated and swells would range between 1.5m to 2.0m on the western coasts and peak to around 3.0m on the eastern coasts. Therefore, small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal sea swells and gusty winds. In addition, slight dust haze concentrations should gradually decrease as the weekend progresses.
