Model guidance is indicating a drying out of the atmosphere at low levels though weak instability continues to linger across the island chain.This afternoon, partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with a few scattered showers are forecast.
A weak trough system is approaching the islands to affect mainly the northern portion of the island chain tomorrow. After which, some showers are likely over the weekend as a building Western Atlantic high pressure system pushes a shearline feature southwards over the island chain.Showers however may be limited as further analysis reveals haze intrusion in the vicinity over the weekend. The Western Atlantic ridge of high pressure will establish itself around late Saturday and an increase in wind speeds will be noticeable (approximately 45km/h), consequently, seas will become generally moderate on Saturday and then moderate to rough from Sunday with swells peaking to 2.7m (advisory) and further deterioration on Monday, approximately 4.0m(warning).
