Breezy conditions are anticipated across SVG during the next few days as a tight pressure gradient is expected to persist over the Eastern Caribbean. Moisture embedded within brisk trades could allow for occasionally cloudy skies and sporadic showers. Unstable conditions could approach the islands by late Sunday and continue along Monday and this increases the chance of showers.
Strong (near 40 km/h) east north easterly trades will cross our islands over the next three days, becoming easterly on occasions. As a result, moderate to rough sea conditions are likely to persist with swell heights peaking up to 1.5 m on western coasts and ranging between 2.2m and 2.7m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution for above normal sea swells and gusty winds. Saharan dust haze concentrations of varying intensities are anticipated as the weekend progresses.
