Cloudiness will persist into early Tuesday as moisture gradually moves away from the island chain. A favourable upper level environment also increases the possibility for occasional light to moderate showers tonight. Additional showers are likely across the afternoon. Relatively fair conditions are anticipated on Wednesday but an approaching shearline could result in some light to moderate showers on Thursday.
Moderate to fresh(20-35km/h) easterly trades will cross our islands within the next 24 hours. A slight decrease(20-30km/h) along with an east north easterly direction is expected on Wednesday. Occasionally the speeds may become gentle(near 15km/h) on Thursday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.2m on western coasts and ranging between 2.0m to 2.5m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Seas may improve around Thursday as wind speeds decrease significantly. No dust haze intrusion is likely within the next few days.
