The upper-level environment would remain occasionally supportive within the next day or two allowing for occasional scattered showers when weak pulses cross our islands. Meanwhile, the SVG Meteorological Service continues to monitor the progress of a tropical wave located in the Eastern Atlantic along 38 W. Early model guidance suggests that shower activity associated with this feature is likely to peak after mid week.

Moderate/fresh(20-30 km/h) easterly to east north easterly(ENE – E) trades are currently crossing the islands. Wind speeds should gradually decrease(15-25km/h) by late Tuesday and become east south easterly during the afternoon period from midweek. Seas are slight to moderate in open waters with swells peaking up to 1.0m on western coasts and raining between 1.8m to 2.0m on eastern coasts but could deteriorate from late Thursday as wind speeds increase. In addition, slight Saharan dust concentrations should begin to cross our islands from early Wednesday.
