The Atlantic High Pressure System is rebuilding across the islands and this should result in relatively fair weather conditions tonight into Sunday. Hazy and breezy(25-45km/h) conditions are likely to persist within the next few days although dust concentrations may vary and slightly reduce from Monday. Easterly to east north easterly trades would cross our islands and may slightly reduce(~30km/h) from Tuesday.
Seas are currently agitated by the wind speeds and are moderate to rough in open waters with swells peaking up to 1.5m on the western coasts and ranging between 2.5m-2.7m on the east coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal sea swells and gusty winds especially on eastern coasts.
Meanwhile the SVG Meteorological Service continues to monitor the progress of an approaching tropical wave along 47°W longitude(at 2pm). This wave should begin to affect our islands by late Monday. Residents near rivers and streams and in areas prone to flash-flooding should remain alert during this period.
