Model guidance suggests that relatively fair conditions could be expected during the next 48 hours as the Atlantic High Pressure System dominates the weather pattern across SVG. However, by Sunday evening, unstable conditions should begin to affect our islands and moderate showers are anticipated into Monday.
Light to fresh(10-30km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades would cross the islands during the next 48 hours before slightly increasing(35km/h) and becoming east north easterly on Sunday.
Seas are currently slight to moderate in open waters with swells peaking near 1.0m on the western coasts and up to 1.5m on the eastern coasts. Seas could deteriorate on Sunday as wind speeds increase. In addition, slight haze intrusion will remain across the island chain during the next few days but concentrations could increase significantly on Sunday.
