Instability associated with a low-level trough north of the leeward islands could allow for a few light sporadic showers late tonight(Saturday) into Sunday. A tropical wave inches closer to SVG on Sunday but models continue to suggest that most of the shower activity lies behind the wave's axis. Shower activity may be sparse and light initially but some moderate showers may be experienced from around Monday afternoon onward.
Gentle to moderate(15-25km/h) east south easterly to east north easterly trades will cross our islands within the next 24 hours. Wind speeds should slightly increase(20-30km/h) temporarily on Monday and shift easterly to east north easterly. Seas will be slight to moderate in open waters with swells peaking at 1.0m on the western coasts, and up to 2.0m on the eastern coasts. In addition, haze intrusion of varying concentrations will be across the region from late tonight (Saturday).
