Fair to occasionally cloudy skies are forecast tonight across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, becoming generally cloudy by Sunday as a tropical wave approaches the islands. Presently, the wave is not associated with an abundance of moisture. However, an upper level trough will be in the vicinity during the forecast period and can enhance shower activity.
Tonight: Mostly fair, becoming cloudy with a few light to moderate scattered showers.
Sunday: Generally cloudy with a few light to moderate scattered showers, possibly becoming moderate as the day progresses with a chance of isolated thunderstorms.
Monday: Generally cloudy with a few moderate showers and chance of isolated thunderstorms during the morning, becoming mostly partly cloudy.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a high chance of showers, mainly over the Grenadines.
Winds will blow from the east north east, becoming easterly at 20km/h-30 km/h, backing to east-northeast (ENE) around Tuesday. Seas will be slight in open waters with swells peaking at 0.5m on the western coasts and 1.2m on the eastern coasts. In addition, there will be slight haze intrusion on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a tropical wave is located in the central Atlantic and has a low chance of cyclone formation during the next 5 days. The Saint Vincent Meteorological Services will continue to monitor this disturbance and provide the necessary update.
