As a plume of moisture continues to cross the islands, this would generate cloudy skies and trigger some light to moderate showers tonight(Friday) into Saturday. This may be accompanied by isolated thunderstorms. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should continue to exercise caution. Saturday and Sunday are forecast to be generally warm, however intermittent showers could interrupt these conditions. In addition, the chance of moderate showers increases Monday closer to evening.
Gentle to moderate(15-25km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades are expected to cross our islands within the next few days with gusts near showers. The wind direction should become east south easterly from late Sunday. Meanwhile, seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.0m on western coasts and ranging between 1.5m to 2.0m on eastern coasts. There will be no significant dust haze intrusion for this forecast period.
