Generally, the Atlantic high pressure system is expected to be dominant during this forecast period. However, a few sporadic light to moderate showers are expected from a series of weak shearlines. These showers are expected to be abrupt and short lived in nature.
Light to gentle(< 20 km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades will cross the islands within the next 24hrs, increasing(near 25kmh) on Wednesday before becoming fresh(near 35kmh) from Thursday. Seas are currently slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.0m on western coasts and ranging between 1.5m to 2.0m on eastern coasts. Sea conditions should begin to deteriorate from Thursday and become generally moderate as wind speeds increase. Small craft operators and sea bathers will be advised to exercise caution for above normal sea swells. In addition, no significant Saharan dust haze intrusion is expected within this forecast period.
