Although a weak shearline will maintain a northward path away from our islands today(Sunday), fair to occasionally cloudy skies may result in a few passing showers. The Atlantic high pressure system is expected to dominate the weather pattern from Sunday night and a relatively dry and stable environment would lead to a reduction in the chance of showers into midweek.
Gentle to fresh(15-30 km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades will cross our islands within this forecast period. Seas will remain slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking up to 1.0m on western coasts and ranging between 1.5m to 2.2m on eastern coasts. Sea conditions may temporily deteriorate late Sunday. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells on eastern coasts. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust will cross the islands within this forecast period
