Unstable conditions linger near the islands and lower-mid level moisture could support a few scattered showers, with isolated thunderstorms across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight. A combination of lower-mid level moisture crossing our islands along with daytime heating could trigger occasional cloudiness with showers and localised thunderstorms across parts of SVG during Friday and possibly over the weekend…Be Alert!
Meanwhile, the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will continue to monitor areas of development across the Tropical Atlantic Ocean and will issue advisories/updates as necessary.
Light-gentle (less than 20 km/h) winds with varying directions are giving little cooling effect. Wind speeds gradually increase during Sunday with moderate (~ 25km/h) breeze from the east south-east bringing some relief to episodes of heat stress across our islands.
Marine conditions are smooth to slight with swells less than 1.0m across our islands and Saharan dust concentrations are negligible with occasional thin-film of haze across our area.
