Hurricane Lee is moving away from the island chain, leaving stable conditions with clear and sunny skies across our islands this weekend. A northward pull of low-level moisture is expected late Monday and during Tuesday, possibly triggering a few showers and isolated thunderstorms across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Good visibility continues across our area, with occasional thin-film of
haze.
Gentle to moderate (15 – 25km/h) south-easterly breeze can be expected by Sunday.
Marine conditions are slight to moderate with swells ranging 1.0m to 2.0m across our islands, gradually falling to near 1.2m by Tuesday. Occasional northerly swells and rip currents associated with Hurricane Lee could reach along our shores…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution.
Tropical Storm Margot is expected to become a hurricane, staying in the Central Atlantic Ocean. St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will continue to monitor the Tropical Atlantic Ocean and issue updates/advisories as necessary.
