Very good visibility continues across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), while the atmosphere remains mostly dry with warm conditions and a chance of isolated showers until mid-week. Moisture levels are expected to increase Tuesday night with a few showers, as a tropical wave approaches the islands. Scattered showers across SVG on Wednesday are likely to increase during the afternoon, along with
thunderstorm activity continuing into the night.
Gentle to moderate (15 - 25km/h) winds could occasionally become light (< 10 km/h) on Monday and gradually turn from east south-east to east north-easterly by Tuesday night.
Marine conditions are slight with swells ranging 0.5m to 1.2m, gradually rising with slight to moderate conditions (1.0 – 1.5m) across our islands by Tuesday.
Tropical Storm Nigel is strengthening in the Tropical Atlantic Ocean, but poses no direct threat to SVG and a tropical wave is expected in the eastern Tropical Atlantic Ocean with a 40% chance of development…The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will continue to monitor and issue updates/advisories as necessary.
