An increase in moisture over the next few days could see cloudy skies and the likelihood of showers maintained. In addition, the SVG Meteorological Services continues to monitor an area of disturbed weather in the Central Atlantic with an 80% chance of tropical cyclone formation. This system could influence the weather conditions across our islands from after midweek. Residents are strongly advised to keep informed on the progress of this system.
Gentle to moderate (15-25km/h) easterly to north easterly trades are crossing the islands. An increase (~35km/h) in speed is expected from Thursday. Seas are slight in open water (0.5m-1.0m) becoming slight to moderate (1.0m to 1.5m) on Wednesday. Sea conditions should further deteriorate from Thursday. Marine users should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. No significant Saharan dust haze concentrations are anticipated within the next few days.
