Bands of moisture feeding into Hurricane Tammy could trigger thunderstorms with moderate-heavy showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). During Saturday and Sunday, unstable conditions are expected across SVG as ‘Tammy’ pulls moisture across our islands. Rainfall accumulations and soil saturation could vary across SVG…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert. A few showers and thunderstorms are likely on Monday, possibly increasing overnight.

Light (~15km/h) winds decrease to calm at times, increasing (25 - 30km/h) by early Saturday with a southerly flow. Light breeze return Sunday and turn north-easterly by late Monday.

Marine conditions are moderate to rough (1.5m - 3.0m) in open water. Swell heights retreat over the weekend, with slight to moderate (0.5m – 1.5m) conditions across SVG by Monday.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will continue to monitor the Tropical Atlantic Ocean and issue updates/advisories as necessary.
