Relatively fair conditions are anticipated across the islands with a chance of brief isolated showers during the next 24 hours. An approaching trough system could trigger some light to moderate showers from late Friday morning. Instability associated with this feature could result in thunderstorm activity and an increase in shower intensity during Saturday.
Moderate to fresh (20-30km/h) north easterly to east north easterly trades will cross the islands over this forecast period. Seas are moderate to rough in open water with swells ranging between 1.5m-2.0m on the western coasts and 2.7m- 3.0m on the eastern coasts. Only vessels capable of withstanding swells of these magnitudes should venture out. Sea-bathers are advised to stay out of the water. No significant haze intrusion is forecast.
