The atmosphere will continue to be unstable into the weekend and occasional scattered showers are likely. Model guidance is indicating 1 inch of rainfall by Saturday night.
Winds will blow generally from the east north east (ENE) at 20km/h to 40km/h, allowing for breezy conditions, becoming east south east (ESE) and decreasing (20km/h-30km/h) from Friday evening into Saturday. Seas are forecast to be moderate, possibly rough at times, in open waters with swells peaking at 1.5m on the western coasts and ranging between 2.0m – 3.0m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal swells. No significant haze intrusion is forecast.
