Fair conditions could be interrupted with cloudy skies and sporadic showers during this forecast period as perturbations develop on the south western periphery of the Atlantic high pressure system (ridge). This ridge pattern will remain quite strong within the next few days resulting in breezy conditions.

Strong (~40km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades are crossing the islands. Winds could reach near gale strength (~50km/h) on Tuesday. Seas should remain moderate within the next 24 hours and become moderate to rough in open water from Tuesday. During this time, only vessels capable of withstanding swells of these magnitudes should venture out. Sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal swells. No significant haze intrusion is forecast.
