Varying concentrations of Saharan dust continue to create hazy conditions and the associated dry air limits shower activity across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Cloud patches are likely to bring a few showers across our islands by Sunday.
Light-gentle (less than 20km/h) south-easterly winds across our islands could become calm at times. Wind speeds gradually increase Sunday, with moderate-fresh (25 - 35km/h) breeze across our islands overnight Monday and during Tuesday.
Marine conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 0.5 - 1.0m on western coasts and near 1.5m on eastern coasts. However, an area of low Pressure in the Atlantic Ocean is propagating long-period northerly swells reaching our islands…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution for occasional breaking wave action (surf) and rip currents.
