Concentrations of Saharan dust continue to vary across our area, possibly thickening to moderate-haze overnight Monday and thinning-out during Wednesday…Remain Alert… Slight-haze is expected across our islands during Thursday. On the south-western edge of the Atlantic High Pressure System, isolated showers are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) as low-level clouds cross our islands.
Moderate-fresh (20 - 35km/h) breeze across our islands are gradually turning east south-easterly.
Marine conditions could be moderate-rough in open water, with swells ranging 1.5 - 2.0m on our western coasts and nearing 2.7m on eastern coasts. Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for reduced/poor visibility due to moderate Saharan dust-haze across our area from Monday night until late Wednesday. Additionally, be prepared for long-period northerly swells which are likely along western and eastern coasts of SVG by this afternoon with occasional breaking wave action (surf) and rip currents. Sea conditions could gradually become slight-moderate (1.2 - 1.5m) again by late Wednesday.
