Conditions allowed for a wake-cloud off Barbados to supply occasional cloudiness and showers across mainland St.Vincent during this afternoon, as winds converged across our area. Across our islands lower level wind/moisture convergence is expected to generate few scattered showers overnight with the passage of a weak easterly wave.

The Atlantic High Pressure should continue building across the area Sunday, with few scattered/shallow showers due to lower level moisture. A dry cyclonic circulation is expected to lose its energy across the southern Windwards Islands by Monday, with moisture converging by night. A few weak pulses could cross our islands on Tuesday with occasional cloudiness and showers.

Moderate to fresh (20-38 km/h) easterly breeze is expected tonight, veering to east south-easterly by Sunday evening. Monday and Tuesday, generally east north-easterly trades should prevail.

Mean sea-level pressure should dip slightly from 1014-1016 mb, to 1012-1014 mb overnight, rising again by Sunday as the High Pressure builds across the area. Slight to moderate sea swells (1.0 m – 2.0 m) are expected into next week. However, gradual increase due to brisk winds on the ocean water may result in swells peaking near 2.5m by mid week.

Dust concentrations decreased today and good visibility is expected on Sunday before a thin patch returns Monday/Tuesday.
