Our islands are positioned on the southwestern edge of the dominant Atlantic High Pressure. Fair and breezy conditions, with a few scattered showers can be expected as bands of moisture converge across our islands.

A low off the east coast of United States (USA) should deepen on Wednesday, while weakening the High Pressure. Bands of moisture converging on the southern edge of the High Pressure, should dip across our area increasing weak instability with increased lower level cloudiness and scattered showers Wednesday into Thursday morning. A drying out of the atmosphere should be noticeable by Thursday afternoon ahead of another weak surface to low level trough crossing the islands on Friday with scattered showers.

Moderate to fresh (25-38 km/h) east-north easterly breeze can be expected tonight, becoming easterly tomorrow, Wednesday with a veering to east-south-easterly on Friday.

Mean sea-level pressure now rising, should range (1016-1018 mb) Wednesday morning, to return to 1014-1016 mb. Moderate sea swells (1.5 m – 2.5 m) should continue overnight into Wednesday. Gradually rising on Thursday to peak near 2.0 m on the west and 3.0 m on the east Thursday and Friday… Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution.

Thin patches of dust concentrations across our islands with varying intensity are expected over next few days.
