As a tropical wave continues to move further away from the island chain, lingering moisture could generate occasional cloudy skies and trigger a few intermittent showers. Warm conditions could be interrupted by passing showers during the next few days. In addition, Saharan dust intrusion of varying concentrations will continue to cross the islands within the next few days, reducing visibility and air quality. Remain alert.
Moderate to fresh (20-30km/h) east south easterly trades are crossing the islands with higher gusts. The direction will vary between east north easterly and east south easterly on Wednesday. A slight decrease (10-20km/h) is expected on Thursday with an easterly flow. On Friday, a moderate to fresh flow should return. Seas are moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 1.5m-2.5m. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution or above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds. Slight to moderate sea conditions could return on Thursday.
