Sunny and warm conditions are likely across the remainder of Sunday across our islands as the Atlantic high pressure system dominates the weather pattern across SVG. Weak pulses could instigate a few brief passing showers from shallow cloud patches along Monday and Tuesday. A light wind regime would promote warm conditions on Wednesday. A few localised showers are also possible across mid afternoon.
Light and Gentle (<20 km/h) east south easterly trades are crossing the islands. A temporary increase (15-30km/h) is expected from Monday with a shift to east south easterly. Wind speeds will begin to decrease from Tuesday as an approaching system is expected to track near or over the Lesser Antilles and away from SVG. Seas are slight to moderate in open waters with swells peaking near 1.0m on western coasts, and 1.5m-2.0m on the eastern coasts. In addition, Saharan dust haze concentrations would gradually thin out and improve by Monday evening improving visibility and air quality across our islands.
