The Atlantic High Pressure System resulted in breezy conditions with decreasing haziness across our islands today. A couple weak low level troughs are expected to cross our islands on the southern edge of the High Pressure.

We anticipate a few scattered showers overnight with one such trough. Mid to upper level conditions could favour increasing cloudiness with scattered showers by Friday afternoon. Instability is expected to linger across the area into the weekend.

Moderate to fresh (20-35km/h) east north-easterly breeze should continue, veering to east south-easterly by Sunday. Mean sea-level pressure should range 1014-1018mb dipping to the lower range as weak troughs pass the area.

Slight to moderate (1.2m -2.5m) sea swells should peak near 1.8 on the west and 2.5m on the east coast. Overnight, NNE swells could reach our shores…Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution. Models indicate a fall in wave heights by Sunday, to slight on the west and slight to moderate on the east. Dust concentrations have thinned out across our area with improvement in visibility.
