Occasional scattered showers are forecast for the remainder of the day . Scattered light showers can be expected on Tuesday before a tropical wave begins to affect the islands.
On Wednesday, moderate showers are forecast as the tropical wave affects the islands, with most of the instability passing to the north of the mainland as the day progresses. Unstable conditions will be maintained into Thursday as a low level trough traverse the island chain. There is a moderate chance of thunderstorm activity during these two days.
Gentle to moderate east north east to east south easterly (ENE-ESE) winds are forecast at 8mph – 15mph (10km/h-25km/h. Seas are forecast to be smooth to moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 0.5m-1.0m on the western coasts, and 1.0m-2.0m on the eastern coasts. There will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
