Wind direction varied greatly this afternoon between north-east to southwest, with speeds falling to light/gentle breeze at the Argyle station. Weak low level troughs continue to cross our islands and instability should linger into Monday.

A temporary decrease in shower activity should be followed by a moisture surge late Monday to be enhanced by positioning of an upper level jet. Moderate to heavy showers and periods of rain are possible across the Leeward and northern Windward Islands, which could extend southwards to our area Monday night into Tuesday.

Another surface to low level trough should be moving into our area late Tuesday, but shower activity should be decreasing as the upper level jet/trough support should then shift eastward. Expect a few showers to continue on Wednesday.

Gentle to moderate breeze should increase to fresh (29-35km/h) from the east north-east by early morning. A temporary reduction in wind speeds can be expected Tuesday with a south-easterly flow. Mean sea-level pressure should generally range 1014-1016mb falling briefly overnight. Sea swells are expected to be slight on the west (0.5 m - 1.2m) and slight to moderate (1.2m - 1.8 m) on the east.
