The Central Atlantic High Pressure System continues to build north of the island chain. Brisk wind flow from the High Pressure System could bring passing showers across our area on Sunday. A surface to low level shearline feature (previously easterly wave), is approaching the Windward Islands to increase chance of shower activity.

Late Sunday/early Monday, occasional cloudiness and showers can be expected with moisture levels remaining elevated on Tuesday with occasional showers (residents and motorist should be alert/exercise due caution).

Moderate to fresh breeze (20-38 km/h) from the north-east should continue into early next week.

Mean sea-level pressure should range 1015-1018 mb by Sunday as the High pressure builds and shifts southward. Sea swells from the ENE are expected to be slight to moderate (1.0 m-2.0 m) gently rising to range 1.5 m - 2.5 m by Sunday evening. This rise would be monitored and an advisory to exercise caution may be issued.

A mass of Saharan dust is approaching the islands. Dust concentrations (20-40 µg/m3) may occasionally reduce visibility and air quality.
