Weather Discussion:

Unstable conditions linger across our islands, with partly cloudy-cloudy skies, scattered showers and thunderstorms possible across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) this afternoon. Moisture levels are expected to decrease across SVG tonight…Flash-Flood Watch remains in effect until 6pm. Low-level cloud patches converge across our islands again during Thursday, with a few showers. Saharan dust concentrations occasionally create slight-haze across our area.

Light-gentle (10 - 20km/h) breeze across our islands could increase 20 - 30km/h during Tuesday night and wind directions vary between north-east and east south-east in some locations.

Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells near 1.0m west of our islands and 1.5m east of our islands. Swell heights are expected to rise during Tuesday, with occasional northerly swells and moderate (up to 2.5m) sea conditions across SVG…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for breaking wave action and rip currents. Swell heights gradually fall, becoming slight to moderate (1.0m - 1.5m) across SVG again, by Thursday.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services will continue to monitor developments across the Caribbean Sea and Tropical Atlantic Ocean, issuing updates/advisories as necessary.
