The Atlantic high pressure system is dominating the weather conditions across our islands. Fair conditions are anticipated across SVG for the remainder of Wednesday. A weak shearline will generate light to moderate showers on Thursday while occasional perturbations could contribute to occasional showers over the grenadine islands on Friday. On Saturday cloudy conditions are forecast with intermittent showers.

Strong (~40km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades are crossing our islands. Wind speeds will become east north easterly from Thursday and slightly decrease (~20-30km/h) from Friday. Seas are moderate to rough in open water with swells peaking near 1.8m on western coasts and between 2.7m to 3.0m on eastern coasts. Only vessels capable of withstanding swells of these magnitudes should venture out. Sea bathers should stay out of the water. Moderate sea conditions could return by late Thursday. In addition, varying Saharan dust haze concentrations will cross our islands during this forecast period.
