The Atlantic High Pressure System is expected to remain dominant across our area within the next few days.

As a result, fair to occasionally cloudy skies are forecast with intermittent passing showers. Meanwhile, Saharan dust haze concentrations are currently crossing our islands, reducing visibility and air quality. Residents are advised to take the necessary precautions. While some thinning out is expected by Monday evening and along Tuesday, concentrations should return on Wednesday.

Moderate to fresh (~20-35 km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades are crossing our islands. A shift to east south easterly is expected from Tuesday with a slight decrease (~15-25 km/h) in wind speeds. Consequently, seas are moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.5 m on western coasts and near 2.0 m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and reduced visibility in Saharan dust haze. An improvement to marine conditions is expected from Tuesday. Swell heights should peak to near 1.0 m on western coasts and range between 1.5 m to 1.8 m on eastern coasts.
