FINAL UPDATE  ON “ISAAC”

Tropical Storm Isaac is now moving across the Eastern Caribbean Sea”

At 11 am, Tropical Storm Isaac was centered near latitude 14.9° North; longitude 61.8° West or about 50 miles (75 km) southwest of Dominica. Maximum sustained winds remain near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next few days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outwards up to 160 miles (260) km from the center. “Isaac” is moving westward at 20 mph (31 km/h).

As Tropical Storm Isaac continues to move across the Caribbean Sea, an outer rain band trailing this system could produce pockets of light to moderate showers and possible isolated thunderstorms across SVG. Sea conditions will remain moderate to rough in open waters, with swells peaking up to 3.0 meters (10 feet). A small-craft warning is in effect. Small-craft operators and sea bathers are strongly advised to exercise caution.
