EFFECTIVE 2 PM, THE BARBADOS METEOROLOGICAL SERVICES HAS DISCONTINUED THE TROPICAL STORM WARNING FOR ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES.
At 2:00 p.m., the center of the system was located near 13.2°N, 62.1°W or about 60 miles...95 Km West of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The system is moving westward at 21 mph/ 33 km/h. Maximum sustained winds will remain near 40 mph (65km/h) with higher gusts. Minimum central pressure is currently 1005mb. Light to moderate, showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms are still possible throughout the day as the system continues to track westwards away from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. In addition, seas will continue to be rough in open waters with swells peaking up to 3 meters (10feet).
SOILS ARE SATURATED AND SOME RIVERS AND GUTTERS ARE STILL INUNDATED THEREFORE, RESIDENTS IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING AND LAND SLIPPAGE SHOULD CONTINUE TO EXERCISE CAUTION.

Synopsis: The remnants of tropical storm Harvey will continue to affect the island.
Today’s Forecast: Generally cloudy with scattered showers, occasional gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms.
Winds: SSE - ESE at 20 to 44 km/h
Seas: Rough in open water with swells up to 3.0 m (10 feet).
A small craft warning remains in effect for above normal sea swells.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services will now resume normal operations from the Argyle International Airport at 3pm.
