A FLOOD-WARNING IS IN EFFECT for St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Issued at 9:30 am until 6:00 pm today Thursday 28th September, 2017
The combination of an upper level trough and an easterly wave has been generating some moderate to heavy showers, periods of rain and scattered thunderstorms across our islands.
As a consequence, a Flood Warning is now in effect for St.Vincent and the Grenadines. Rainfall accumulations of 75 - 100 mm {3-4 inches} are likely.
Thus, residents and motorists near rivers and streams, areas prone to flooding and land slippage should continue to exercise caution and remain on the alert.
This Flood-Warning means that flooding is likely to occur.
Moisture levels are expected to remain relatively high into the weekend, as Tropical wave is expected to approach the eastern Caribbean by Saturday into Sunday.
This Warning will be up-dated as necessary.
