Advisories
Weather Outlook - 13th July 2026(12noon)
A plume of Saharan dust is crossing our islands, reducing visibility and air quality.
Residents are advised to take the necessary precautions. A gradual thinning out is expected as Wednesday progresses. The weather within the next few days should be relatively fair with brief interruptions of the occasional light shower. This is due to the dominance of the Atlantic High Pressure System across the Eastern Caribbean.
Moderate to fresh (~20-35 km/h) east south easterly trades are crossing our islands. A shift to east north easterly is expected from Tuesday with a slight decrease (~30 km/h) expected on Wednesday. Consequently, seas are moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.5 m on western coasts and near 2.0 m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds and reduced visibility in Saharan dust haze.
