Weather Discussion:
A few showers are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) with a chance of isolated thunderstorms, as a tropical wave crosses the islands. Saharan dust concentrations continue to create slight/moderate-haze across our area…The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will monitor any development in the Tropical Atlantic Ocean and issue updates/advisories as necessary…
Light-gentle (5 - 15km/h) breeze across our islands, gradually increases to fresh (25 - 30km/h) breeze by Saturday evening and directions vary between north-easterly and south south-easterly in some locations.
Sea conditions are slight in open water, with swells near 0.5m(1.5ft) west of our islands and near 1.2m(4ft) east of our islands. A gradual rise in swell heights can be expected over the weekend, with swells nearing 1.2m(4ft) west of our islands and 1.8m(6ft) east of our islands by Sunday. Northerly swells are likely especially along western coasts during Sunday...small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution.
