Weather Outlook - 18th March 2026(6am)
The Atlantic high pressure system is the dominant feature allowing for a few passing showers and relatively fair conditions for the remainder of Wednesday
. However, weak pulses along its southwestern periphery could instigate some cloudiness along Thursday and trigger a few scattered showers. Partly cloudy skies are likely on Friday whereas a weak trough could affect our islands on Saturday allowing for a few showers. In addition, varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze will cross our islands within the next three days.
Moderate to fresh (~20-35 km/h) east north easterly trades are crossing our islands but should decrease (~30 km/h) on Thursday and shift to east south easterly. A further decrease (15-25km/h) is expected from Friday. Seas are moderate in open waters with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and near 2.5m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds. Sea conditions could begin to improve from late Thursday.
