Saharan dust haze concentrations of varying intensities will continue to cross our islands during this forecast period reducing air quality and visibility. Be Alert.
In addition, fair to partly cloudy skies is expected Friday, however from Saturday, the chance of showers increases as unstable conditions are forecast to affect the island chain. Occasional cloudy skies and some scattered showers are anticipated.
Moderate to fresh (~20-35 km/h) east south easterly trades are crossing our islands, increasing (~40 km/h) in speeds Friday and Saturday. Seas are currently slight to moderate in open water. Within the next 3 days, swells heights could range between 1.2 m to 1.5 m on western coasts and between 2.0 m and 2.4 m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells, occasional gusty winds and reduce visibility in dust haze.
