Weather Outlook - 1st November 2026(12 Noon)
A trough is affecting our islands and this is generating cloudy skies and light to moderate showers.
In addition, the potential for thunderstorm activity exists. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert. Similar weather conditions are forecast into Monday and watches/warning may come into effect if conditions warrant. A few showers are likely during the early parts of Tuesday while sporadic showers are forecast for midweek.
Moderate to fresh (~20-30 km/h) easterly trades are crossing our islands. Winds speeds should temporarily increase (~35 km/h) from Monday with a shift to east north easterly expected on Tuesday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells heights peaking near 1.0 m on western coasts and near 2.2 m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Swell heights should fall on Wednesday. Slight Saharan dust haze concentrations should be noticeable from Tuesday
