The Western Atlantic High Pressure System is the dominant feature, with couple shear-line/weak pulses within the wind-flow moving across our area on its southern edge. These shearline/pulses could bring occasional cloudiness and few showers being pushed by brisk winds. One such pulse is expected tonight/early Saturday accompanied by increasing wind speeds and gusty conditions near 55km/h across
our area. Persons in exposed (Windward) areas should be cautious; as large branches may be set in motion/bend with the force of the wind, over-head wires may become disconnected and loose items may be dislodged or tip over. The High Pressure center should weaken late Saturday, with another shearline pulse and wind-speeds decreasing to fresh (30 - 40km/h) across our area by Sunday evening. Another shearline/pulse is expected during late Sunday into Monday with further reduction in wind-speeds to moderate during Monday afternoon.
Moderate swells are expected this afternoon, rising further on Saturday (2.0 – 3.0m) across SVG. See High-Wind Advisory and Small-craft Warning issued at midday today for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and its coastal waters; to be in effect from 6:00 p.m, Friday, 28th December, 2018 until 12:00 noon Monday 31st December, 2018.
No dust concentration is expected across our area over this weekend.
