Weather Outlook 20th March 2019 (6 pm)

Hazy conditions of varying intensity are across our islands, expected to gradually thin out by Thursday night. During Thursday, a lower-level shearline could result in increased cloudiness with few scattered showers. The shearline is expected to deepen to a trough late Thursday, resulting in increased shower activity across our area. Models indicate that an associated plume of moisture could cause 2 - 3inches (50 - 75mm) of rainfall across our islands

from Friday into Saturday. 

Gentle to moderate (15 – 30km/h) breeze coming from east to east south-east could become gentle at times, with varying directions Friday as the trough crosses the area.

Slight to moderate sea conditions, with north-easterly swells ranging 0.5 – 1.5m are across our islands, possibly rising to range 1.2 to 1.8m by Thursday night. 

Barometric readings should range 1013 - 1016mb across our area, occasionally dipping with the passage of the shearline and trough over next couple days.
